Receiving an Inter-Store Transfer

When inventory is transferred to your location from another store, you should receive it in WINK as soon as the product arrives. Receiving the transfer promptly ensures your inventory remains accurate.

If the transfer is not received, the product remains In Transit. If the product is sold and dispensed before it is received into inventory, it will result in an inventory discrepancy.

Receiving an Inter-Store Transfer

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Receive Inventory > From Store > New.
  2. From the In Transit Transfer list, select the appropriate transfer.
  3. Verify that the product you received matches the product listed on the transfer receipt.
  4. Click Save.

Inventory Impact

After the transfer is received:

  • The transferred product is added to your inventory.
  • The inventory transaction displays a quantity of +1 for the received item.
  • The transfer is marked as complete and the In Transit quantity is reduced to 0.

If the product was sold before the transfer was received (for example, on a worksheet using From Stock), the inventory may have already been reduced by -1. After the transfer is received, the inventory quantity returns to 0, accurately reflecting that the product has already been sold.
