Web Service Error Messages (Try Again Dialog)

Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream

Description:

You sent a request that was processed by our servers. The response stream has been interrupted before it can be fully read back.

Could be caused by an intermittent internet issue, firewall, anti-virus that is inspecting the content of the response and wrongly identifying it as a threat.

An error occurred: Connection reset

Description:

Received a RST packet in the middle of the communication. This is most probably an intermittent internet issue. Use a packet tracing application like Wireshark to diagnose.

Make sure firewalls and antiviruses applications are not blocking or inspecting traffic from WINK.

An error occurred: azurefd.downloadwink.com

When you see in the error message azurefd.downloadwink.com like highlighter in red below, its a DNS issue.

Description:
DNS cannot resolve the IP address for our servers at azurefd.downloadwink.com. You can keep clicking on try again until it works.

You can also use tools like nslookup to diagnose the issue further.

Resolution:

Contact your IT infrastructure support, or change you DNS servers.

Proxy Authentication Required

Error message:

"Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy Returns "Http/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required"

Screenshot:

mceclip0.png

Description:

You network settings use proxies. The proxy is requesting you to enter the proxy username and password. Unfortunately, for the moment, WINK is not showing the proxy authentication screen where you can enter the proxy credentials. WINK will be resolving this shortly, so you can enter the proxy credentials and continue forward.

We cannot skip the proxy authentication screen, this is how your network has been configured. You probably get the same proxy authentication screen in other application like your web browser.

Workaround:

At this point, the only workaround is to click "more options" -> "exit application" and restart WINK. You will loose all unsaved changes.
