Question:
I want to create fast invoices for my customers. I don't want to bother with inventory management or Rx worksheets. How do I do that?
Answer:
You can do that by creating what WINK calls "Simple Invoices". A simple invoice is a legal invoice that you can give to any customer who purchases any product/service from your store. Many of our customers create simple invoices for all customers that walk into their stores, and they then "CONVERT" those simple invoices into complete invoices after the customer leaves.
Note:
"Simple Invoices" are not "Quick Sales". A simple invoice is for the sale of prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses to a patient or returning customer. Quick Sales are reserved for the sale of accessories, non-prescription eyewear or sales of products to customers you will likely never see again (sales that don't need to be tracked).
Preamble:
In order to create simple invoices, you must first create the following "Non-Inventory Products" in your database
- "Any Frame"
- Print on Invoice As: Frame
- Default Retail Price: $0.00
- "Any Lenses"
- Print on Invoice As: Lenses
- Default Retail Price: $0.00
- "Any Contact Lenses"
- Print on Invoice As: Contact Lenses
- Default Retail Price: $0.00
To Create a simple invoice for your customer:
- Click on Find Patient >> double click on the patient you want to sell the products to
- Click on New Invoice
- In the field entitled "enter product name" type the word : Any Frame >> Press Enter and select.
- In the field entitled "enter product name" type the word : Any Lenses>> Press Enter and select.
- Those two items have now been added to your invoice
- You can now enter a description for the frame and lenses (RayBan, SV, Plastic...), if wanted
- You can now enter the price for the frame and lenses
- Click on Pay >> Receive payment >> Click on Print
