1) Recording date and time of each entry of information for each patient
EMR timestamps and records the user for each Exam entry visible in the Audit logs. (Access and modifications are logged)
2)Indicates changes in the recorded information
Once complete each Exam is locked and requires an active unlock action in order to make changes to data. These actions are recorded in the Audit logs.
3) Preserves the original content of the recorded information when updated
Visible via Audit logs. All changes are logged, with datetime stamp, user who made the change the field that was changed and the previous value is recorded.
4) Protection against unauthorised access
EMR access is controlled within the Application User management with limited access to Administrators. Clinical data within the EMR can only be accessed via the EMR iPad controlled by the OD. Only OD's have access to EMR Usernames and Passwords to both the EMR and iPad. Wink data is encrypted at rest and in transit and held within a database on a secure Canadian Cloud Computing service.
5) Backup and recovery of electronic data
Data is held in a highly redundant cloud architecture providing data redundancy and recovery as part of the service. (Any point in time recovery up to 30 days). We have a DR site (active standby) with a recovery point of seconds up to a few minutes.
